82 food and related standards to take effect starting in March

According to incomplete statistics, a total of 82 food and related standards officially came into effect in March 2025, including 10 replacement standards and 72 newly added ones—accounting for 87.80% of the total. Among these standards, 6 were national standards, 34 were local standards, and 42 were group standards, covering a wide range of areas such as product or raw material specifications, operational guidelines, and testing methodologies. Notably, several local standards were issued by regions including Shanxi, Shanghai, and Henan. The highest number of standards—24—began implementation on March 1, with the remaining standards rolled out gradually across various dates throughout the month. The introduction of these standards provides clear guidance for regulatory oversight, helps manufacturers optimize their operations, and empowers consumers to make informed purchasing decisions, thereby strongly supporting the industry's healthy and orderly growth. FoodPartnerNet urges industry players to closely monitor these standard updates and adjust their strategies promptly to prevent potential losses.
